Brake shoes - Campag vs Shimano

Real dumbo question: what's the difference - how can I tell which is which, given that I have Miche brakes (the cartridges are held in using tiny allen key bolts)

    The difference is in the shape of the back of the pad where it slides into the holder.
    Shimano pads have a square shape,
    Campag are more of a wedge shape.

    AFAIK Miche use Shimano-pattern brake pads
    Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..
