Hey Guys,

After a little advice and interested in your views. After mountain biking for years I have now decided to get into road cycling. I will be looking to enter a few triathlons but also a few endurance rides. I am probably going to be doing the London to Paris ride for example. With this in mind I was looking for a bike that would suit both kinds of event, as best as possible for one bike to do so. After alot of research and talking to several LBS I have two front runners.

I will be riding the Fuji at my local Evans but can not find a LBS that has the Felt so can only really compare them on paper at this point.

Any views on which you would choose and why would be appreciated or if you have an alternative I would be open to look at those too.

Thanks in advance

I fancy the next model up on the fuji, save a few more pennys for the 105 equipped one.

Lol I knew someone would say that. The 105 is one of the reasons I like the felt but then like the idea of the disc brakes on the Fuji so guess there is a good argument for going to the next model but is there that much difference between the 105 and Tiagra?

I like with the 105 it has concealed cables on the bars, and the red and black looks great in the flesh, although the white is quite nice too. The Avid brakes will be better too. Not sure that would warrant an extra £100 but would for me. But just looking at the felt...does look real nice. Damn, can't choose :-)

Ok so you see my problem lol.

Do you think the Fuji would be ok in a triathlon? it is a little heavier and obviously has the wider tyres.

I also noticed that on the Fuji model up the front derailleur is still a tiagra

I suspect that would be hardly noticable. Triathlon wise, no idea. It does have big tyres. Try the fuji, you might hate the ride and the choice becomes easier :-)

That would certainly make it easier.
