This isn't about all the Tour journos stranded in Kent trying to get on the train.

It's something I have seen posted anywhere else, but I thought was quite cool. I sure many have already seen it.

As a sort of Jaguar promo, Chris Froome becoming the first person to cycle though the Channel Tunnel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VeOeZxWiryM

And a behind the scenes video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NzZ5s-Ysr_o

I thought it was quite good but could perhaps have been a bit more dramatic (mock race or suchlike) I'm starting to think Froome looks androgenous when he has his aero helmet on

It was pretty awesome I have to say.

Nicely done. I wonder who got payed to make that possible. Also wonder in any Jaguar ad whether Sky front some of the money given they are also getting advertising.

Do we think the Tour is ambitious enough to go with his idea of having a stage through there.

You couldn't have any crowds of course, which would kind of defeat the point, but it would be pretty cool.

There is already a race through the Tyne Tunnel, but tunnels are dark, dirty and boring, probably the worst possible place to be cycling, nevermind hold a bike race. Besides there isn't a proper road through the channel tunnnel for them to race on.

You'd have to stop the all Eurostar and Channel Tunnel traffic for hours, which would be big damage for the operators. So realistically it will never happen

Surely he must have been doping to ride under the sea for that long?

Perhaps this was why he got ill and needed his TUE...
It's only a bit of sport, Mun. Relax and enjoy the racing.

I preferred the original where Chris Anker Sorensen cycled over a bridge.

I would prefer to see a type of pedalo, similar to this.

Which the bikes could be fixed into.

Does seem unfair to make him transfer to stage 4 by bike, though...

Could be a prologue/ITT but with no fans/crowds allowed I doubt it would be much of a hit.

When they showed this on ES this morning, Lemond thought he'd actually done the transfer that way.

Had to be convinced it was pre recorded

    Poor Greg

My favourite cyclist even, but I wish he wasn't on TV.
