Terminal sounding creak

Grrr.

My bike developed a rather unpleasant creak yesterday; much the same as if you were to have a BB which was completely gone.

LBS replaced the BB and headset and yet creak still remains. Three sets of pedals have been tried and problem remains.

In the course of the last month in an attempt to solve minor noises I'd say that everything that can be greased and torqued has been! Both wheels have recently been serviced. Chain rings have also been removed, loctited, greased and torqued.

Bike has 1600 miles on it and is only 9 months old, it's my 'best bike' and has generally only been ridden in the dry.

At a loss as to what it can be. It's loud and obvious enough to sounds 'serious' rather than just a minor niggle.

Creak remains with cycling shoes or trainers.

Seat post has been removed/cleaned, rails greased, bolts tightened.

    Bars were removed/cleaned torqued.

    hurumph.

Noise manifests itself at low speed in any gear (as well as higher speeds) and can also be brought on when track standing

What saddle you got? If it has titanium rails it could be that.

If it is getting to you...
Take 3 days off work and strip the bike , completely and rebuild.
If you do it yourself at least you know it is actually been done!

Are the rear dropouts replaceable? Had a strange one where one of my dropouts creaked and clicked (and sounded like the BB). Took it off, cleaned and locktighted and all was well.
Also make sure the steerer is short enough to clear the headcap...mine was just touching and gave the same problem...add a very small spacer if in doubt.

By wheels serviced - trued and cones or spokes oiled (ie oil dropped down into the nipples), q/r removed, cleaned and greased?

If its doing it trackstanding I'd say that it was pressure based (ie loading forces).

    I'll watch this space.
I've gained similar after replacing a GXP BB, I've put the old BB back in and it's still there but it wasn't there before I replaced the old BB in the first place.
I tried shoes, pedals, wheels, chainring bolts, the lot but this creak persists when drive chain is under load, if I spin along on the flat there's nothing but as soon as I come to a hill or get out of the saddle.........creak.

Headset is usually what causes creaking on my bike

Is it an campag Ultra Drive BB? Mine creaks after a few months...I suspect its either the bearings moving in the cups, or the wavey washer.
I just take it apart and clean everythung up, and grease the cups and wavey washer (I know they should be dry fit) and it cures the problem....its only a 10 minute job at the end of the day so no real heartache

3 days? By heck, that would be a proper job!

Worth considering this though, for the pure enjoyment factor if nothing else. Just think, you could have new cables and bar tape and everything. It would be like a whole new bike.

My guess on the creak is the usual suspects, and just because you've already looked at them doesn't mean you shouldn't look again. Took me 3 attempts a carbon paste on my seat post before it stopped clicking.

Though you say you can re-produce track standing - can you get a mate to stick his ear over the bike and listen while you do it?
2020 Reilly Spectre - raw titanium
2020 Merida Reacto Disc Ltd - black on black
    2015 CAAD8 105 - very green - stripped to turbo bike
