Cannondale F29 alloy bikes

After selling my full on trail bike fancy something like cannondale f29 with the lefty fork, i know its built for XC but do you think it would manage the odd red run at likes off glentress grade ??? I have recently moved more over to the road side of things but do fancy a nip round the local trails (nothing to crazy) now and again. Anyway any thoughts ???
