Cassette problem

Hi all I change my rear wheel from a mavic askium to a giant ps1 the freehub on the mavic had a washer between the cassette and freehub, do I need to put this on the giant wheel? I am using a 10 speed system thanks

    Hi

    Simple way to check:

    Pop cassette on, grease and tighten locknut to 40Nm - if there is play, undo, fit spacer, re-tighten.

    If there is no play set fire to spacer.
