Ive got a set of Hayes "nine" brakes on my bike and the rear one needs bleeding.Ive got all the fluid and tubing from doing the brakes on my car but according to Hayes I need a special fitment that goes into the lever to allow me to bleed off the old fluid into a container.

Are these little gems available on their own or could I fabricate this special part or is it a must to do the job?

Also ive looked into getting some parts in case the caliper is goosed but theres so many to choose from i.e. hfx,g2,g3 ect and I havnt got the foggiest idea what to look out for

Thanks

I just remove the screw and absorb what comes out with kitchen roll, carefully mind as you don't want DOT on the bike anywhere else!

Your car kit (such as tubes) will be a bit big for a bike setup!
