I have been given a Power2max to try but Im not sure of the fitment.

I run Rotor 3D+ cranks and the power2max has only 3D cranks so is it compatible.

My cranks are -

The Power2Max looks like this -

Surely I can just take teh powermeter spider and fit it to my bike? OR do I need adapters.......Im a bit lost.

Any advice welcome

Thanks

It's not those parts which are the deciding factor, it's the bottom bracket, 3D and 3D+ can use the same BB, but they are also available in different...

On the non drive side, take a photo of the bottom bracket of your existing bike, also measure the diameter of the axle of the Power2Max.

    He didnt.

He thought it woudl as I have 3D+ cranks but he thought I needed an adapter so thats why im confuded?

I thought I could just fit this onto my bike using the existing BB and cranks as this just replaced the spider??

I don't think it can be done just changing the spiders as it looks like they have a different spline shape for fitting to the crankarms. see

Easiest way I can think of is to get an adapter for bb30 to 24mm. Especially if its only on a temp basis.
