Might be a daft question this, I would imagine the splines are different sizes.
Crank is FSA K Light Bb386evo, about a year old, frame is BSA68 BB shell.
The blurb on the Stages site says that their Bb30 version won't fit Bb386, but they don't mention the Megaexo.

MegaExo won't fit your BB386 crank if that's the question? MegaExo has 24mm spindle whereas BB386 is 30mm.
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..
  • Essentially, despite the axles being different, I was wondering if the NDS Stages crank (which is from a Megaexo FSA Energy crankset) would fit my existing DS crank (the Bb386). Seems unlikely but the Stages website is a bit vague.
I don't know if the splines could be the same despite the different axle diameters.

Still a no - BB386 spindle interface is same as BB30:

    Whereas MegaExo is like this:

  • Clear as day, totally different. Thanks, that's an expensive mistake avoided!
