Bike for large chap

Hi
I'm just looking at getting a bike and start mountain biking. I'm a large chap 22 stone and 6ft (50+ year). Stopped playing rugby a couple of years ago and so it's time to start losing weight and get fit. I don't like road cycling so intend to join local club and go for it off road.
Need advice on bike to get, just had a go on VooDoo Bizango 29, http://www.halfords.com/cycling/bikes/mountain-bikes/voodoo-bizango-29er-mountain-bike-18 It seems a good spec for it's price with air sprung font forks, I have been told these will be good for my weight.
Can anyone recommend this bike or something similar in this price range.
Thanks
