This is how I lived this epic event from inside this year.
I hope you like.
I couldnt record anything the last km, It was really hard with the rain and the mud. I will write an acount next days on my blog. I hope to write something in english as well.
There was some english spoken people there, one of the wrote this on his facebook:
Rode in my first gravel race/Granfondo here in Spain. 164 kilometers with 55 or so on gravel along the Canal de Castilla. A neat professional event with sag wagons, ambulances, cops, mechanical support, food and showers as part of the entry fee (about 50 bucks). My ride didn't go as planned - I flatted early, destroyed a derailleur, fell down hard in the gravel and rode 80k in pouring rain with my bike as a 53x13 single speed. Of course all of this makes the ride all the more memorable, naturally. Big fun.If you like Flandes, Roubaix or Eroica, you would like GP Canal de Castilla, www.gpcanaldecastilla.com0 -

The chain is too long
It sounds like an amazing ride, but you have to understand the vast majority of people on here are UK based and unlikely to get involved in this thread. But keep updating us, as I said it looks like a great event!left the forum March 20230 -
