Hello all,

I'll be back in the UK for around 3 weeks soon and want to get mobile broadband to stay connected. Ideally, it's just a data SIM that can go in my phone (5s) that I can then tether (sneakily?) to my laptop.

Can anyone recommend a decent deal? Not sure how much I'll need but obviously more GBs for less GBPs is the order of the day.

Thank you!

  • Don't iPhones bar tethering?

No, I regularly do it on my o2 account.

Some years ago, providers used to frown on it and I can remember having to request it from Orange to be enable.

Nowadays what you you do with your data usage is up to you as long as it is legal.

I do it all the time when I am abroad.

    3 dont let you tether.

You can get away with it for a while normally before they notice though.

3 are a bit backward it would seem, EE and Orange never have a problem AFAIK

I know, dont understand what difference it makes how you use your unlimited data, especially as three sell it as truly unlimited.

This is 3 telling you you have unlimited data, but basically not letting you use it. We'll give it to you, but by god, you better not use it.
