Hi guys,
Planning on watching stage 2 at Don Valley and apparently it has bike parking for 10,000 bikes. Is anyone planning on using this service and know how secure your bike will be? Been on the phone with Sheffield Council and they cannot give me anymore information other than you cannot keep your bike with you whilst in Don Valley.
Thanks

Makes car parking look cheap !0

£12 to park a potentially £10K bike is cheap IMHO. Too many people want everything for nothing. Any major event in the UK costs, it doesn't matter what it is. Why do you expect cycling to be different?0

Potentially? But what if you are rocking up on a hybrid worth a couple of hundred quid when new? Families on a day out? How much will they have to pay and how is it inclusive to all as a sport? It's also shameful to try and promote less car use and at the same time present charges like that. The old phrase 'At least Dick Turpin had the decency to wear a mask' comes to mind with pricing at those levels.0
