That's a bit cheeky of them considering they sell them.

The deda stuff was there on the options but I just personally thought the itm was better value for the spec and the style I wanted.

Thanks but I think that's last years model of the synapse that i was interested in and is a different frame. But please correct me if I'm wrong.

Paul you've confused me again as there are some really nicely rescued bikes on there
Cam cycle - thanks just need to wait for my voucher now to order and I'll post pics when I get it.

We should start an 872 owners club. Have one of the PX SAB frames to build up too. All the necessary bits are on the way so will do some photos of that too when it's done. Have deep sections on my 872 which do compliment the frame very nicely.

Have you had any issues with it mate and do you like it? Still thinking up upgrading to zonda wheels

A few teething troubles (creaks, squeaks etc) but once sorted out it rides very well. Mine is full 105 and for the price I paid for it (£1200) I don't think you can get a better bike for the money. Frame is from the same mold as the De Rosa 838 made by Xpace out in China so quality is very good. The 838 is at least twice as expensive depending on spec.

Fit is on the aggressive side with pretty steep angles and a lowish H/T. I have a couple of 5mm spacers under the stem which is just about right with a positive rise 6degree stem. If I was being brutally honest with myself I would say that it's probably too aggressive for me and I should have gone for one of their other models with more relaxed geometry.

Fell in love with the 872 though so common sense went out of the window!

My deep section clinchers were £400 direct from China. I have had a few issues with these which are hopefully now resolved (touch wood). Any more questions then don't hesitate to ask.

Thanks mate. I think I'm the same and common sense went for the look of the frame. The staff advised that the geometry has very little differnce over the gran fondo and was used by quite a few of staff as a fast everyday sportive bike. Time will tell.

Definitely the best bike they do. Done quite a few 100 milers on it and cycled coast to coast up a load of hills and it was excellent. With that spec it should be about 8kgs so pretty light for the money too. Get some nice tires for the rest of the summer and keep those rigid Rubinos for winter use. Are you anywhere near Cambridge, we could take the 872's for a spin?

Fingers crossed the fit is right for me and it is a fairly sportive ride as they have told me. According to ribble will be sub 7kg. The tyres apparently are pretty good and a decent balance between speed, comfort and puncture resistance, hence did t upgrade them. The bike will only be used summer and dry days and will keep cube unless I can sell it for winter use.
I'm in lancs mate so quite a way from Cambridge

No probs. Sure you will love it. With pedals/cages etc it won't be sub 7kg. More like 8 which is what mine is. Post up some pics when you get it. Build time?
