Hi all, anyone know what this is like? I know where it starts but that's about it :oops: !! Am beginning to get the bug, and my Mum lives nearby (Hanham)
It's just a hill. Get over it.

    Lovely part of the world, I'd like to ride this as well.

    Can't tell you anything about the ride though. Helpful eh ?

    I've done the shorter route. It's a good ride, kinda tough (though I may be chided by some for that!). It features two pretty tricky climbs (including Cheddar), and a bunch of short sharp bits and bobs. Great scenery. I'm off to do it again this year, so hopefully I'll see you see there.

    Paid up with 4 others for the long route, 2 did it last yr and highly recommend it.

    How brutal is it????? Did the Chiltern 40 mile Wiggle jobbie which was hilly, to put it mildly...

    I did the full version last year, only difference between full & medium was a very flat extra few miles, not much in the way of extra hills

    There were plenty of walkers on the last 2 climbs, both were steep and you needed to change gears before you felt the tension on the chain really

    Also, the first rest stop has some Ye Olde out side loo's which, as I was hanging from the night before's excess, I did try to enter....the smell pushed me back!
