Have kysrium sls wheels at 1400gs but considering switching to carbon 50mm clinchers at 1650g on my summer bike.

Ride tts on my road bike every week through summer. Also do club rides both on flat and over Mendips. Can't justify 2 sets of wheels.

Any thoughts?

I am all for new wheels but why bother if the ones you have are not causing bother. If you have a carbon wheelset you need an alloy one for when it rains/winter.

  • Quite gusty on the mendips; what would you do on a very windy day, not ride?
