How to Service a Look Keo Blade 2 Pedal

These are good pedals, but Look still doesn't seem to have cracked maintenance free bearings (like say a Shimano pedal).
Apart from the usual noisy cleats, mine started cracking a bit after less than 3 months.
Look, less than helpfully, suggested sending them back to them for inspection.
I couldn't find anything on the net regarding their assembly, so worked it out myself.
First, pry out the small rubber 'cache' at the end with a small sharp screwdriver.
Then, using 2 allen keys, unscrew the axle from the small end (right hand pedal unscrews normally, if memory serves, the left one is the other way).
Here's the axle - you can see the main bearing is dry on it's outer face.
Grease up the axle and reinsert - push hard when you tighten, there is a spring washer to compress.

No, not really!
(Does help loosen them up a bit though)0
