Got back yesterday from a trip up the east bank of Loch Lomond (Balloch to Rowardennan), got some decent pictures and videos, videos take ages to upload to youtube but will post the links when they are done, here are a few pictures in the meantime:
A snowy Balloch Country Park:
Still water over Loch Lomond looking west:
Looking southwest:
Where I took a rest about halfway (one of the only places I could get a 4g signal too):
Close to the bunkhouse where I was staying, looking north:
Same again, slightly different spot:
About half way up Ben Lomond (conditions weren't any good for taking the bike all the way up):

Sorry for the late reply, yep was a good day out!
Here is the latest video, my mate crashing four times in the Kilpatrick Hills at the weekend, none were too serious, I thought they were pretty funny anyway.0 -
Back yesterday from doing Crianlarich to Fort William via the WHW over the last three days. Was a tough with carrying my tent/sleeping bag/food/water/etc in my bag but the trails were great (70% rideable, would be more without the heavy bag and less fear, but I was on my own and didn't fancy crashing out in the middle of nowhere) and amazing views.
Some pictures:
Off the train and heading towards Tyndrum:
Leaving Tyndrum on the way to Bridge of Orchy:
Looking out over the Bridge of Orchy:
Loch Tulla:
Wild camped the first night just after Inveroran, had my stove so meatballs + pasta for dinner went down well:
Day 2 on towards Kingshouse:
Lunch stop in the Kingshouse hotel:
Panorama shot just after Kingshouse:
First part of the descent into Kinlochleven (having just rode down it):
Camp night 2 Kinlochleven (Blackwater Campsite):
Day 3 greeted by the sun on the way to Fort William:
Not a bad spot for lunch:
Ben Nevis coming into view:
Glen Nevis:
Fort William:
Camp night 3 (Glen Nevis Campsite):
Morning I was leaving, snow was coming in so timed the trip well!:

Cheers, yeah was a good trip!
Bag probably weighed about 15/20kg (at a guess). Had tent, sleeping bag, camp mat, camp pillow, dry clothes, electricals (camera, phone, charging cube, lights, mp3, gopro), helmet, lock, camelbak and some food.
Been trying to take as little gear as possible as a heavy bag makes for hard cycling.0 -

Video from day 1 of the trip - Crianlarich to Inveroran.
Will edit the rest over the next couple of days!0 -
Or weeks...
Day 2 Inveroran to Kinlochleven
First time editing with adobe instead of WMM, will take a bit of getting used to!0 -
Day 3 - Kinlochleven to Fort William
Finally edited the last day from the trip, was probably the best day weather wise. Was glad to finish as my body was pretty tired by the end of it!
Time to get planning the next adventure for my week off in June.0 -
The gravel burn wouldn't be so nice if you came off haha but the scenery is beautiful also looks a bit cold haha0

I did wimp out of a lot of sections I would've normally ridden but the heavy bag and being alone stopped me. Decided to do it in April as it would be quieter, was pretty lucky with the weather and my cold weather gear done the job!JanR wrote:New downhill edit with Ambrož Rijavec, CHECK IT OUT!

Done Carn Liath outside Blair Atholl last weekend, 4 Mile climb from the campsite and carrying the bike to the top of the munro was intense (2500ish feet of climbing). I stupidly forgot my chest mount so got no footage. The riding was amazing though, first bit was an unrideable boulder field but after that it was some nice rocky steep singletrack then flowy muddy singletrack. Some pics:
After setting up the tents went for a cycle around Blair Atholl and a bit up Glen Tilt.
Next morning, Carn Liath around 10am thankfully we couldn't see the whole climb!
Cloud had cleared by 11ish, not a bad food and rest stop.
Reached the top and had a good descent ahead (raging I forgot the chest mount).
My mate tackling the descent.
Stopped by the stream for another food and rest stop.
Carn Liath as we were leaving around 3ish.
Bike made it in once piece, no puncture or crashes. Good times!0 -
Well another trip done, this time took the Orange to Arrochar for 3 nights wild camping/biking.
Not long off the train nearing Arrochar.
Camp night 1 (yes that is a tarp + hammock)
Waterfall near night 1 camp.
Day 2: Part of the way up towards Beinn Ime, Narnain and The Cobbler.
Unfortunately the mist didn't want to lift so couldn't see the peaks.
Day 3: Went a loop round Glen Loin.
Camp night 3.
Looking out over Loch Long.
Waiting on the train for the return home.
Also edited together a video from day 2 up the Arrochar Alps: It was a tough ride with a few unrideable drainage ditches but apart from that it was good fun and a long descent.0 -
Please see THIS THREAD. Had all my mtbs stolen Thursday 20th October.0

Great news, the Orange, Rocky Mountain and Focus were all found stashed in woods and are now in my possession. Cannot explain how happy I am.
Sadly no sign of the Club Roost, but considering I thought I'd never see any of them again I'm pretty pleased.0 -
Good news indeed.
Any damage to them?“Life has been unfaithful
