Cleat adjustments

Bike fit question....

My right foot slightly angles outwards, and rolls slightly outwards (cleat wear is shockingly uneven compared to left foot). Do shims go to outside of cleat, to correct my foot by lifting the outside edge, or does the shim go under ball of foot to lower cleat at the inside compensating for outward roll of foot, but leaving foot in it's natural position (for me!)

Likewise, should cleat be angled counterclockwise to leave the foot rotated outwards, or should cleat be neutral, to point toe in corrected "straight" position?

Thanks

Dunno about the shims but I set my cleats to let my feet move in their natural position. Forcing the foot to point elsewhere puts a twisting strain on my knee and that's bad.

You mean anticlockwise. Unless you are a Septic, in which case, don't ride on the sidewalk!

But they should ride on the pavement.
