Ok, having just started my commute this week (see my other post, I now find myself absolutely dying to go out cycling this weekend - anywhere - even though I planned to rest up. I spent all evening last night (to 11pm) looking at bike stuff on the Internet - again! - (much to the chagrin of the missus), and then was dreaming of cycling all last night.

What have you done to me!?

Did your legs hurt when you woke up? I find that if I dream about cycling, my thighs really hurt in the morning.
I don't blame Wiggle, but I do blame this phenomenom.

Yep I've been imagining I've been climbing all the mountians in the Pyrenees in a bid to be able to climb them all in August without doing any training.

Last night I dreamt about getting left hooked by a car that was being left hooked by a bus.

Not all bike dreams are nice.
I used to just ride my bike to work but now I find myself going out looking for bigger and bigger hills.

Ah, the old chain of events crash.
When I was about 12 I was cycling and a car in front of me pulled over and parked. The driver opened the door and I had to swerve to avoid being doored. The car behind/beside me had to swerve to avoid me. An oncoming car had to swerve to avoid the car that was behind/beside me and only just missed crashing into a parked car.

That was the first time I swore at an adult. That old granny is probably the still the oldest person I've ever sworn in front of and has fostered a belief in me that old drivers are crapdrivers.

Was the bus carrying the Swedish volleyball team who all jumped out to take advantage of you as you lay in the gutter...?

Or is it just me who dreams about things like that.

My mate picked up a new Spesh Allez a week ago. He said he wasn't interested in anything but riding to work. My phone has not stopped since, with him asking questions about gear. I did warn him before he bought the bike that it would be like that, he didn't listen.

I know what he feels like... although nodbody warned me. I did however beat my time this morning - day 4 - sub 24 minutes. Yay! (let me have my moment) Of course the problem now is I'm going to have to try to beat that... and then I'll have to do it again... Was Strava such a good idea?
