Hey all
Has anyone here used Bike24 before?
Have been looking for a new fork for a Specialized Hardrock, found the Rockshox Recon Silver TK on Merlin Cycles for £129.99 but noticed that Bike24 are selling the RockShox XC 32 TK Solo Air for €155 delivered (£123ish).
I assume the solo air is the better of the 2 but am a bit wary of ordering from overseas without knowing the company.

Bought quite a bit of stuff from them. Not super quick to dispatch, but not so slow that I've ever been worried, and everything has always been as described. Pretty good comms when you have to too.0

I second this. Good prices, slow dispatch (~7 days if in stock, up to 14 if they order something from the supplier). Overall - good0

Isn't the Recon higher up the scale than the XC ?"Why have that extra tooth if you're not using it?" - Brian Lopes

Sort of. Chassis can be lighter on the Recon but internals are much the same. I'd probably take the xc32 just because it has an air-spring (assuming the Recon doesn't).0

Thanks all for the help.
Am I right in assuming an air fork would be better for a bigger rider (I'm just under 100kg at the moment)? Will be for road commuting and trail/singletrack riding0 -
The advantages of air is that it is lighter and also you can adjust the sorting rate for rider weight, as you are somewhat over average weight you may find a coil fork has too weak a spring and you end up needing a stiffer one. I would get air if I were you.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0

I would get the XC32, as above much lighter and more adjustment. I have used Bike24 a few times with no problems other than slow delivery but they do make you aware of the delivery times so no issues there.0

Excellent, thanks for the help guys.
Looks like it's time to abuse the credit card!0
