Does anyone know if cycling is permitted along the north side of the river on the Thames Path between London Bridge and Blackfriars Bridge? There don't seem to be any 'no cycling' signs, but on the other hand there aren't any shared use signs either

Given that it's busy with pedestrians, often quite narrow, and dives back up to the main road a couple of times, I wouldn't have thought it was very practical.

If you're generally comfortable riding in London traffic, Lower Thames street is fine.

It does come up as a cycle route on Google Maps directions

But TGOTB has it right, you can hardly walk along there sometimes let alone ride a bike.

But I'd be quite happy to pootle along slowly and considerately. I've noticed though that there is one no cycling sign (though not an official traffic sign) at Broken Wharf.

I'm pretty sure you can - I've done it but as others say it's not much fun.

UPDATE - the City Corporation say that cycling is prohibited along all of the Riverside Walk (Thames Path) within the City, and Google Maps is wrong
