    I miss the good old days of people testing positive or negative for steroids, and knowing they were definitely cheats.

    Ulissi was allowed back for one race then just after was told he was unable to compete again for now. What a farce.

    He wasn't allowed back for one race was he? His team pulled him and then decided he could race.

    No, they pulled him, let him race, pulled him again.

    His team pulled him, then decided to let him race citing delays over the charges, at which point the UCI stepped in and said he couldn't race. That was my understanding.

    Here is the ridiculous thing...back dated so gets to ride sometime in April.

    What is the point of a 9 month ban I don't know.

    Was given out by the Swiss Olympic Committee.

    “Finally a decision has come today after a long and difficult period for me. I feel it is important to underline that its been recognised that I have not acted with the intent to improve my athletic performance, but it has been established that I committed negligently, which of course I regret, especially for the corresponding damage which has been caused to the team,” he said.

    “I have always received great support from the team as well as from my family who have constantly stayed close to me throughout these difficult times. I am pleased that , in the light of this decision, my victories and results obtained remain unchanged. I can now start to concentrate and look forward to planning my return to racing.”

    With Lampre signed up to MPCC, he may have to move to another team to do so.
