If it's from Argos I'm assuming the same mechanical lock out. So nasty and undamped. I still wouldn't.I don't do smileys.

Yeah it is from argos does argos get the same feedback as halfords does on here lol. Its £279 and to be fair I was going to change the forks after a few months anyway. So It was more the frame and gears I wasnt sure of.0

I was just looking at different types of forks before I bought any I would be making sure I get the correct type. From what iv read loads of people hate the word HALFORDS or is it the people that work there that is the problem.0

It's usually people who don't know what they are talking about - they sell some excellent bikes.
Take a look at this too:

XC30 fork, Shimano Deore drivetrain (3x10), SLX hubs, Shimano 395 brakes..... sounds pretty good really for £550?Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0 -
Yep, looks pretty decent, glad I got you to trawl through the Argos website.
Not sure where the massive mud flaps are though. And I hope it weighs less than 18kg.
On the bright side, the forks are on the right way round.I don't do smileys.

What do you reckon about the descent then0

The descent is crap. Horrific fork.0
-

-
Still poor.0
-
No worries cheers might have a look at that decathalon link they seemed quite good0

It's daft to buy a bike planning on changing a major component, it means you are buying twice, just get the right bike first time around.
I suspect the quoted weights are boxed regardless of what they say they are.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0
