Seat post snapped. steel frame. End of seat post stuck in frame bike shop say can't be removed. Frame is made to measure and pride and joy. Still in pain as landed on back but more upset bike is ruined.

Is there a specialist who can remove the stuck post. my fault I let it corrode it has not been moved for about 18 months.

Aluminium seat post, steel frame? Should be doable by the right person with the right tools. Probably needs to be reamed out. Might be worth speaking to people who rennovate frames as they may have come across this problem. I think I recall Jason Rourke (Rourke Cycles) posting something about getting an old seat post out.

Caustic soda then a really good flushing out?

Otherwise then yup - as above - a decent frame man will sort you out. Its not a biggie - reamer will do it in 10 mins.

Oh - in that case simples as to ream out/caustic soda out. No drama at all.
