Hi all,

Thanks for reading this and hopefully helping clear up some confusion for me.

I'm currently in the process of building up a mountain bike, it is a learning process as I'm coming from BMX so a lot is new to me.

I'm currently stuck on breaking. I've been reading up online and decided to go for 180mm rotors front and rear, with http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/shimano-zee-disc-brake-m640/rp-prod82434?utm_source=Google&utm_medium=Shopping&utm_name=UnitedKingdom&gclid=CjgKEAjwoJ-dBRDbjfKN7IzN0FsSJAAP0G_Dbxd-IBDi0bXcgey87UQca81rIHHjqm-VJWGc7h74FPD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds Shimano Zee calipers front and rear.

I have Fox Float 32 Kashima CTD 1 1/8 9mm QR forks which are post mount, and a Stanton Slackline frame which is IS mount, is that correct?

Looking at adapters to run 180mm rotors am I correct in thinking that I need this adapter for the front? Like this - http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/shimano-xtr-mount-adaptor-front-post-180mm/rp-prod54881

And this adapter for the rear frame mount? Like this - http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/shimano-xtr-mount-adaptor-rear-is-m985/rp-prod60899

I appreciate any help you can give me.

Cheers,

Ash

Yes just vise the correct size for the rear. And you will also need a post to post adaptor for the front.

As post mount 6" is 160mm disc.

Zee is somewhat overbraked for that frame and forks, i'd suggest you buy from the XC range (SLX is the obvious one).
Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.
