Looking to get chainring for Cyclecross build, gearing wise have a 10-28 cassette and a compact chainset 34 inner.
Question ;Im thinking a 46t chainring to use(commuting should also work this this)?
But which one. TA 110 PCD Zephyr Outer
Or a
FSA super record outer one?
Both are £44
Cheers

I'd go with the TA myself. Used them for years - they're beautifully made and last well.0

Chainrings cost £44?
They are £38 here.

As above - they last really well, shift well and are hard to fault.0 -

The Stronglight Durals actually don't last so long - probably less than half as long as the TA rings mentioned. The equivalent Stronglights to the TA rings are Zicral. On my tourer I have triple chainrings - the outer two Zicral and the inner Dural which I hardly use.
Spa cycles sell a lot of Stronlight and TA rings - the advice they gave me is go for the ones you like the look of most! The function, assuming comparing like for like, is similar.Faster than a tent.......0 -
Or you could get the Shimano 105 CX50 Cyclocross Double 10sp Chainset 46/36t from Chain Reaction for £63.99.I'm not getting old... I'm just using lower gears......
