Campag and Shimano cables

I only very recently realised that Campag and Shimano cables had different sized heads, it's never troubled me before. I bought ten jag wire cables off of eBay and got one jammed in my shifter. I took it apart and removed it. Are there any good workaround so for compatibility? Good ways of making the heads smaller?

Advise please, Shimano cables are so much cheaper!

I always thought Jagwire cables were well regarded, no?

Metal file on the end. Worked a treat when my friend recently bought Shimano cables for his Campag bike after receiving poor advice from an EBC assistant.

4.3 down to 3.8 so not a lot of filing needed.

(I think the cables are 0.1 thinner too)
my isetta is a 300cc bike

Ive been at it a bit with a file, and dont seem to be getting anywhere fast. any tips for making it faster/easier or am i to just dedicate some time? I dont have a vice or anything... I didn't have any issue with cable thickness, just the head.

    Ah. Ooops.
It wasn't a metal file we used after all. Sorry I forgot, we used a bench grinder.
