Recommendations for a bike repair stand

My knees are going/my eyesight's poor (violins please)...
I want a bike repair stand which is fairly easy to put my (heavy) bike on, so that it's nearer working height without kneeling/peering.
Ideally, I want some sort of crane(!), but I expect I'll have to at least lift it on myself.
Any recommendations?
