Novatec Hub - black spacer opposite freehub side uncrews?
Quick question about Novatec hubs (I believe they're Novatec - came on my Planet-X clinchers).
Opposite side to the freehub is a black plastic spacer (maybe half an inch long) that gets clamped with the skewers. Basically the last piece on the end of the hub. I've noticed it is loose and easily unscrews (when off the bike). Is this part supposed to be just finger tight? Does it form any sort of adjustment? Not sure if I should leave it loose or try and tighten it down will a tool. When on the bike the skewer clamp holds it in place.

You should be able to tighten it with an allen key. If it keeps coming loose, put some thread lockleft the forum March 20230

Thanks! Yes it appears an allen key fits in the middle. The whole thing is plastic so I'm cautious to put much pressure on at all.0
