Grating noise from chainset?

How do you know when the teeth on my chainset are shot? Changed the chain for a KMC X10 and a new cassette SLX, since then when putting pressure on it make a really loud grating noise. Light pedal pressure is ok but any hard pressure and it does it but strangely only inner ring. It doesn't skip and shifts brilliantly.

I've checked the chainrings are tight, no stiff links

Its a FSA comet x10

Help as I had to ride all day on the big ring!

Usual cause of a grating noise is crap trapped in the chainset.....
Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.

As its an FSA chainset I would first check its not come loose. This is common in my experience and causes mysterious chainset grinding!

All tight and dirt free. I'm thinking its worn but seems too few miles.
