Hi,
i would like to buy good quality wheels for XC. Im not starting in races, so i will use them only for traings.
My weight 70kg
Distance in season which i plan about 3000km
Disc - centerlock will be great
Money limit - about 350$ or 250 euro
I found set like this:
Rim - ZTR crest
Hubs - XT
Spokes - DT Comp
http://www.bikestacja.pl/en/wheels-notubes-ztr-crest-26-deore-xt-centerlock-1530g-30-taniej.html
On other side i got Novatec on sealed bearings, are they really better than shimano ball bearings?
Second wheels set is:
Rim - Mavic 717
Hub - Novatec D812SB
Spokos - Dt Revo
or DT Swiss, any in this price range?

carrtridge bearings are different to cup/cone (both are sealed......), one is not better than the other as such, cartridge are easier to replace, but cup and cone properly looked after with regular maintenance rarely, if ever, need replacing.
That said for XC use the Novatech are lighter than XT so would get my vote on that basis. Have you looked at the Superstar wheel options?Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0
