    No.

I did manage to 'accidentally' get lots of the mums legs in the background when I was taking pictures

Impressed as I am with Arrans "up the shirt shots", can I ask T47: Is that snake normal out there? Mrs BBG freaks at a spider, but is talking more and more about living abroad. And yes, I'm trying to delay with tales of scorpions, flesh-eating bugs etc. Snakes would delay the moving abroad idea indefinitely I think. I now it's sad but I kinda like GB (although I might move to Belgium for the beer :P )

This is the second grass snake I have seen around my house in the last eight years. My house is located in a rural jungle and even in my 'garden' I have only ever seen one snake, an adder. I would say it is about the same as the UK, although I did live in the new forest :D

We have geckos, chameleons, hedgehogs, feral cats, scorpions and snails in the garden. I don't like snails.

Sounds like you need to live in a town:D

(No decent beer here it's all la**er)

Loses a bit in translation, in Português it is O Cobra'

It could well be a young ladder snake as it has not developed the 'ladder ' pattern yet it is difficult to say. I bow to your superior snake knowledge :D

    Thanks
Young Ladder snakes start out with ladders (and look far nicer) and they fade into twin stripes as they mature. :(
