Brought this Giant defy 3 (with upgrades) (2011) for £300
Giant Defy 3 Aluminum Frame
Upgrades from original spec:-
Giant Carbon forks
Italian Gipiemme T-Quattro 30 wheel set (light weight wheels) 700x23c
Continental Ultra Sport with slime inner tubes
Triple crank (21 gears)Shimano RD-2300 Rear Derailleur
Shimano FD-2303 Front Derailleur
Shimano ST-2300 / 2303 Total integration gear set.
FSA / Tempo chain / crank set
Rubar Race seat
Look KEO spd race pedals
2x Elite Aluminum bottle cages.
Got £100 for my Retro Specialized MTB Restoration to Hybrid (spent about £25)
New lightweight wheels
New Road Tyres
New Grips
New Gel seat
Complete rub down and re-sprayed black
Gears tune to perfection
So all in spent a bit restoring my specialized and converting to hybrid.
So got the giant defy 3 for about £225, after selling the specialized.
Both bike in excellent conditions and gears/brakes are tuned to perfection.
Very Happy
The giant defy 3 will be my first step into road bikes.
