Ceramic plates thrown

Hi,

I have been cycling for many years and never had a issue with motorists until now. While cycling back from work on a busy stretch of road, a car beeped his horn several times and steered about one foot from me. One of the passengers throw a ceramic plate full force, hit my hip, then shattered. Luckily I was wearing extra gear and not injured.

Is stuff being thrown by motorists towards cyclists for no reason on the up these days?

Thanks.

I hope you got their number and reported it to the police, that has to be assault, and no never had anything thrown at me.
  • Yes, reported reg number to police and got crime ref number. Though without no one witnessing the incident for evidence, they said it will be hard to prove.

Never had anything thrown at me, seems particularly moronic.
