Evening all

Those of you that read my Kona Operator thread will know I've been looking for a new DH rig, and the good news is I bought a used 2011 Demo earlier today :D

The current frame protection has seen better days, so will be replaced

So looking for some recommendations for protection tape for the downtube. I've read good reviews about 3m Ventureshield, but seems it needs to be "installed" as opposed to me fitting it...

Anyone got ant alternatives?

Cheers

DCR

I wouldn't bother. First crash in a rock garden will just tear through it. The paint on Demo's is pretty good, no one I ride with who has one has any protection and they still look pretty good.

ventureshield is what Invisframe use. Their kits are very good - not cheap but good. You can either send your frame to them or follow the instructions on their site.

Stripped some off today. It's super thick and over some existing and much thinner tape. Thinking it maybe had Ventureshield on already.
