6700 shifter rattle

Hi I've got an annoying rattle on my left hand lever of my ultegra 6700 shifters.
Wasn't there to start with, but if I a riding over our lovely rough roads it's quite loud now.
Looked on all sorts of forums to try and work out how to fix it, but still in the dark.
Any help please!

my right lever has the same rattle, I didn't investigate but I quick search reviled these:

this seems to be a common problem, test rode a bike yesterday and the noise from the shifters was very distracting.
