Sealey Draper, Draper, King Dick (fnnnaaarr - but very good), probably the Halfords Pro range for hand tools.

Why? Devising a Brit only based tool set?

Should the question be "which tools are best?". In which case ...........

    why?
starting to build up a home kit. Did have a few but they got water/flood damaged beyond saving.

It would be nice to buy british

I have done some research and found some good reports here. birzman came out well, as did pedro (?), but I don't think I need to start spending those sorts of money.

As you says fnnnaaaaaar - King Dick will be investigated as that appeals to my juvenile sense of humour :-)

    thanks

If that's the case, go to the local Draper tool factor - draper do deals all the time where you buy a tool chest for, say, £150 and you get £400 worth of tools for free.

It's actually one of those deals that is as good as it sounds and I've done it twice.

Just ask for a copy of the current deals catalogue and have a gander.
