Looking at replacing my 26" full sus with a 27.5"/650b. have a few in mind but can anyone give me some advice?
The shortlist is as follows
1)Merida One Forty B-5

2)Ghost ASX 4900

3)Giant Trance 4

These are all in my £1000 to £1500 budget. Only ne I don't know that much about is the Ghost but I will be taking a demo on one in the next few weeks. Would appreciate any input.

What's up with what you've got?0

I have a Marin East Peak 5.5 that feels a little to x/c and not enough a/m. I am asking more and more from it . I was thinking of fitting 140mm forks to it to help? 120mm at the moment. Has just returned from a warranty repair for a broken main pivot bolt and have been told that if it goes again I will have to have a remanufactured frame from Marin (they've already had to produce 300 replacement frames!).0

Or if sticking with the out of fashion 26" wheels:

I would take that 26" Canondale from Pauls Cycles over any of the bikes linked above.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

They can be rebuilt, spares are available for them and some of the internals are standard Fox bits.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350
