Stem Length

Hi

With regards to stem lengths, where do the manufacturers take the measurement from? Centre of fork to handle bar??

    Depends on the make. The majority rule is centre to centre but the angle of the stem can make the stem length look longer or shorter than is actually is. Deda seem to be a little longer than you expect and 3T seem to make the rules up as they go along. I had a 3T stem that was meant to be 90mm but no matter how I measured it I couldn't find 90mm to be true. Best to just go to a shop and try a few and see what suites you.
