Next Monday (16th) my good cycling mate (him of the seals and crash fame) is doing something completely mental.

He's going to run the long commute route to work. For him it's a 16 mile run and a distance he has never tried before; couple this with the fact that he is > 18st, it's going to be one hell of an achievement

I'm helping out on the day by meeting him partway, bringing gels and water to keep him going. My boss has suggested I actually stay with him from the point we meet up (frankly to make sure he is safe) so I'll be along to keep him company and carry supplies.

Now, the thing is... he's doing it for charity and the charity in question is one that is now in the news: Epilepsy Research UK, as it seems it was a seizure that took Rik Mayall from us. If anyone wants to help support such a deserving cause they can add some funds to:

I'll be along to take some action photos and footage of him along some of the quieter stretches, personally I'm more than a little awestruck - mainly because of the ridiculously bright pink top he will be wearing.
