Dahon or Brompton for the train

I'll soon be moving to Nottinghamshire and my commute will increase to a 60 mile round trip, too much for me to ride so I'm going to have to start using the train as well. The cycling will be 2.5 miles from home to the station and then anothert 6.5miles at the other end. Been looking at the folding bikes and the Dahon Vitesse looks good, 20" wheels should roll a bit better and our C2W is through Halfords, but also see that the Brompton regularly gets the nod for it's compact fold. However it is twice the price of the Dahon  Does anybody here use a Vitesse with a train commute and could comment on how practical it is on a day to day basis or do they wish that they'd sprung for the Brompton?

On the off chance, if anyone catches the 7.30am Newark Castle to Nottingham train, how busy does it get ?
