given the dimise of my Oranage Evo2 at MSG #4 I have to buy a new MTB frame/fork and bits. a real shame as I had some lovely wheels on that bike which are now useless.
I have narrowed it down to two choices. Ritchey P-29er with a Ritchety fork and I will equip it with XTR and the Thomson bits that have come of the Orange. I will have to build new wheels.
I thought about the On-One Lurcher but I just can't.
A chinese supplier who did my wife road disc brake frame/fork and rims (which first rate) do a carbon 29er frame fork and 30mm wide rims for the same price as the ritchey frame and fork.
So pretty steel or naked carbon. The bike is soley for racing so really I should go with the stiff carbon frame it even has a BB92 shell. There is about a 800g difference in frame weight and the frame geometry of both is suitable. I suppose the Ritchey allows me to run a SS setup but I have a 26er for that sort of work.
Uhmm what to do I suppose I should buy the Ritchey but maybe I should do both?
