BC website states that 10% discount is available to BC members for *all* purchases in Halfords. Just present your membership card at the till.
Has anyone successfully used their membership card to get discount on non-cycling stuff? e.g; motoring dept.

Yes, they take it for everything. You'll need the relevant voucher too but my Halfords has a folder with the voucher in and they always know what the "BC discount" thing is.WyndyMilla Massive Attack | Rourke 953 | Condor Italia 531 Pro | Boardman CX Pro | DT Swiss RR440 Tubeless Wheels

the website just says
"How to get your discount:
Simply present your valid British Cycling membership card at the till when you make your purchase to obtain a 10% discount."
do you need a voucher before you go to the store?www.conjunctivitis.com - a site for sore eyes0 -

OK I just checked the BC website, there is no longer a voucher showing. So yes, just present your BC membership card and the Halfords people will dig out the bar code for them to scan (which was previously on the voucher).WyndyMilla Massive Attack | Rourke 953 | Condor Italia 531 Pro | Boardman CX Pro | DT Swiss RR440 Tubeless Wheels

No longer gives you 10% off any website special offers though, apparently. So just 10% off the normal instore price.0

Good stuff. Thanks for the info everyone. I will try and use it tomorrow.“Training is like fighting with a gorilla. You don’t stop when you’re tired. You stop when the gorilla is tired.”0

Is there any way we can get this discount applied to CRC or wiggle or something? You know, places that sell bicycle stuff?0

Any idea when this came into force? I've always had luck reserving an item for in store collection with money off, then getting an extra 10% when I go to pick up and pay.
Just for info Halfords have a load of brands (Fizik/3T etc) on their website now, they just don't hold much stock in store.0 -
I used the website reserve and collect service for a Child Car Seat on Saturday, I had the 10% discount applied when I paid in store. The in store price was cheaper than the website and still have the 10% applied - result!
I don't think you can make use of it if you order and pay online.0 -

About 6 weeks/2 months ago I think - same time as they stopped requiring you to print a voucher and take it in with you. I havent bought anything since and have wondered if you might get away with it, if there was a member of staff not fully savvy or whether the computers would actually stop it being applied - might be worth taking a chance but in theory reserve and collect will not allow BC discount if a special web price has been applied. The revised wording is on the BC website now.0 -
Like others have said, reserve online pickup in store. Works on everything. Also watch some of the Instore prices if you pick something up on the day, check the website and they will price match the Instore to the website price. Discount works on everything.0

Have you done this in the last 6 weeks or so? They have changed the T&Cs so that the BC discount is not valid on web prices and is only applied to store prices. Just wondering if they are enforcing this or if you can get away with it?
I always did it before, but that was when the T&Cs said that it was valid, but now they have changed.0 -

Yes you do, but remember that's 12% off RRP, not 12% off whatever they were already charging.0 -

Used the halfords website to order something for in store collection a couple of weeks ago, got the 25% off price shown on the website plus £20 web discount plus BC discount when I got to the store (I didn't even have to show my membership card, I just asked for the BC discount and they scanned the barcode they had....)0

Always works for me, though twice now people on the till have asked me what 10% of the value is (they have to manually take off the discount)
Once I did have someone tell me the discount is only on bike stuff, though I pointed him at the voucher that states (in large lettering) "ALL purchases". He backed down after that.0
