I want to buy a set of Vision Metron 40 clinchers, with black, not red decals.

Can't find them anywhere until August.

Some UK companies say they will have them sooner, but the distributor says they are lying. :D

They must be in stock somewhere in the world.

If anyone could find me a set I would be suitably grateful.

Thanks.

    Oh really?

    I never thought of that!

Give me a break. If all I had to do was google it and click on the first website that list it I would not be here.
The problem is that whilst the wheels are listed no one has them in the UK.

I was hoping some enterprising foreigner might like a Brucie Bonus for finding them in a local website or shop.

    says in stock

but maybe they are just lying about having stock, it's not unknown

reality is, it is not reliable to rely on online in-stock claims, the only way to be sure is phone up and ask for a physical check

    Thanks. I will call them.

What you describe is my exact experience. I have called over 10 sites/retailers already.

Hoping someone sees them in a shop, or can blagged a friendly Cannondale dealer to sell them. They are standard fit on the high end Synapse.

Looks like a bollox link site to me. When you try to buy they link to a "supplier" and the browser just hangs.

No phone numbers or addresses to contact.

Evans site is wrong. I called them and they said it would be late Autumn at least.

How about trying Epic Cycles? They are a dale dealer and seem to offer standard bikes with wheel upgrades so they may have a pair laying around or may have a pair they are happy to sell you from a full bike.

Thanks. I shall call Epic as soon as they open.
  • LittleDove - Have you tried calling FSA directly? I was looking for a Metron 40 to test for my all-round review in April and I called the US office who directed me to a retailer they had just begun working with and were also willing to sell me one direct (at 10% off). Not sure what the situation is near you but they might know who has inventory. Here are their numbers. Good luck. Its a good wheel at a fair price
