    Honest opinion?

I don't think anyone comes out of that well.

Yes, the BMW shouldn't pull out - the view is clearly restricted and he should have waited.

Biker looked slow to react to me and I think if he'd really felt endangered he would have stopped and given way sooner.

Meh that's no big deal. I ride along with the thought that I'm a ninja, and noone can see me. He stopped, the BMW driver couldn't really see, but it wasn't a big deal, it delayed his ride by 10 seconds?

The most annoying thing is that he's using the cameras microphone! Turn it off, for farks sake!

He should of anticipated the danger ahead. There were shops, parked cars and on coming traffic. The least I'd except in that situation is a person nipping out between traffic

As TKM says, ride with the belief you're a ninja and no one has seen you

This was due to the massive amounts of torques the beeemer had. Did you see the way it pulled away, no other car could do this.

    Who cares?

I'm sick of seeing videos of people pulling out in front of each other. It happens, get over it, we're only human and make mistakes.

Good tictac. I rode a scooter for two years when I was 16, had two cars pull out in front of me from a junction. One of them I ended up sliding off the bike - and then he drove off. Once I looked the driver in the eye before they pulled out. They literally don't see you, never assume they have!

    Fixed for you.

Roadies should be banned from wearing cameras. Bored of seeing videos of minor near misses, sh1t happens. If you ride on the road just accept that it is dangerous.

Well there's some dignity in admitting it. can't remember what pulled out on me but I don't think the car matters. Perhaps bmws have a blind spot no other car does :D

They didn't even grace me with an apology, or even a recognition really. I must have looked pretty angry getting up!

Seemed reasonable driving at the initial incident by the BMW driver, he was unsighted, pulled out sensibly and left room for the motorcyclist once he could see him!

I appreciate the comments apart from the one about both being total cocks ;) It's with the police now, Si, as a cyclist has an enormous amount of spacial awareness which can be seen on the other vids he's done.

The BMW driver, left him standing about a mile later on a 50 limit, which is fine as Si was doing 50(ish), he obviously didn't want to get caught and get a smack upside the head. Still so angry that some twunt could pull a SMIDSY when at the time of "potential" impact Si had clocked him and was doing a top of 20.

I know you're all MTB Downhill etc but whack yourself on a road bike and see if you can withhold the temptation to set the speed warning lights off!

    Love n Hugs as always

Cyclists are just poor people who wish they had a car, and 125 riders are just pseudo bikers who wish they had a real one.

I drive a Subaru, so am neither a poor people nor a c0ck.

I do however own half of a 125, which is sad.

I can't see any offence committed there. Other than maybe wasting police time.
Sometimes people might not see you and pull out. It happens to me regularly cycling in the city. Just accept in and quit your moaning.
15 years on a motorbike taught me to expect everyone to try to kill me and that I need to be prepared for it.

Most of my commuting is on a road bike, and yes I can withhold the temptation. Most of the local ones are near schools and I'd be a massive idiot if I rode like a bell end through those

Those speed warning lights are usually in built up areas usually where there's a particular hazard or school. Trying to set them off is retarded, if you hit a child at that speed you're quite likely to seriously injure or kill that child and being on a bicycle they're less likely to see or hear you.
Don't bitch about dangerous car drivers if you're doing sh1t like that, you're at least as bad.

If the motorbikes vision was high enough he would have seen it earlier and slowed down, especially in conditions like that. The BMW drivers vision was restricted also and he was edging out so didn't just zoom off.

The local speed sign I like to light up is actually situated outside the 30 limit and warns you of the limit ahead, slight downhill, consider I've failed if I don't light it up!

Not necessarily, they put the speed warning lights everywhere! If there's a long straight road in a 30 zone, they put them up. There's a great one in Leeds that's on a long, straight road down hill! Watching cars go through at 32mph, followed by me at 33 is a great feeling.

Shouldn't be in the road then should they!

When I was younger, my parents taught me that if you stand in a road, you're likely to get hit. They need to learn the same.

Children don't always get things right though do they and they don't expect some c*nt on a bike at 40mph past their school.

Would have to be a bus with an awful lot of clearance to get me under. I'll probably just not go into the road if theres a bus coming and avoid it. Seems to be the most logical way.
