hi, helping a female 38 get into biking. Shes a petite 5ft 4", did a cycling holiday in Italy last year and been out on MTB with me.
Looking for advise on particular brands to look for/avoid as im aware geometry is different for men/women but not that clued up. Budget is prob in the £400 region. Something new like the felt F95 sora at wiggle for £450. Personally i always buy used so happy buying on here or ebay (birmingham based)
cheers

Slightly more on the budget £520.
Trek 1.2 2013 47cm - Sora 9speed.
May have to change the handlebars for shorter reach, e.g Bontranger SSR handlebars (70mm reach, 120mm drop)

Genesis Volant £450 - Sora 9-speed . Not sure if the 50cm will be too big?

My wife used to have a Specialized Dolce before moving up to the Ruby. She loves the geometry as she used to get a bad back riding mens bikes even a size smaller.0

My Mrs (5ft2) has a 44cm Bianchi C2C. You'd have to stretch your budget a bit, but she loves it...Condor Super Acciaio, Record, Deda, Pacentis.
Curtis 853 Handbuilt MTB, XTR, DT Swiss and lots of Hope.
Genesis Datum Gravel Bike, Pacentis (again).
Genesis Equilibrium Disc, 105 & H-Plus-Son.
Mostly Steel.0
