hi, helping a female 38 get into biking. Shes a petite 5ft 4", did a cycling holiday in Italy last year and been out on MTB with me.

Looking for advise on particular brands to look for/avoid as im aware geometry is different for men/women but not that clued up. Budget is prob in the £400 region. Something new like the felt F95 sora at wiggle for £450. Personally i always buy used so happy buying on here or ebay (birmingham based)

cheers

Slightly more on the budget £520.

    Trek 1.2 2013 47cm - Sora 9speed.
May have to change the handlebars for shorter reach, e.g Bontranger SSR handlebars (70mm reach, 120mm drop)

Genesis Volant £450 - Sora 9-speed . Not sure if the 50cm will be too big?

My wife used to have a Specialized Dolce before moving up to the Ruby. She loves the geometry as she used to get a bad back riding mens bikes even a size smaller.

My Mrs (5ft2) has a 44cm Bianchi C2C. You'd have to stretch your budget a bit, but she loves it...
Condor Super Acciaio, Record, Deda, Pacentis.
Curtis 853 Handbuilt MTB, XTR, DT Swiss and lots of Hope.
Genesis Datum Gravel Bike, Pacentis (again).
    Genesis Equilibrium Disc, 105 & H-Plus-Son.

    Mostly Steel.
