Ouch, glad you're mostly in one piece. Hope you heal fast and well. Nice to hear you had such good care.
As Mikey says it makes you appreciate the NHS more. I've had more than my fair share out of them and if it's urgent or an emergency they have been faultless. If it's not you have to wait or may get bumped, that is completely reasonable of course they have to prioritise.

Yeah, sadly I don't think I'll have these two teeth for long.

I think it was the adrenalin kicking in that made me run around around like a headless chicken worrying about my bikes. I love my bikes ;-)

I reckon N East Scotland must be the best place in the UK to have an accident. When I was knocked down by a car a few years ago and my mate couldn't get a signal on the mobile to call an ambulance the first car to come along was being driven by a GP on her way home from work! She had me bundled into her car and speeding off to A&E in a flash. I still feel embarrassed about all the swearing I did on that journey  sounds like my friend Wendy, most people react like that to her driving.
It is indeed one of the best places, in terms of the quality of ambulance services (plus light traffic to get you there quick) and A&E (although it's gone downhill since Mrs Bomp left a few years ago ;-)). If it was Bob Steele who picked you up then he is a very practical and experienced surgeon.

Glad you're not in as bad a state as you might be, hope the recovery goes well and you're speeding round the roads of Tayside and Fife again soon.

Just Googled Bob Steele and I think that might just be my man! I can't be 100% sure but I remember a calming man with glasses and a beard. As for Wendy...is she a GP who lives in the Carse area bompington? I have always wanted to thank whoever it was that scraped me off the road and took me to hospital.

Ouch, I'm sitting here hurting just from reading your post. You have the right attitude it seems, no sense being down, it wouldn't change things. I'm happy you feel like posting the tale, and that the surgeon was right behind you and your mates, and an ambulance was nearby, by chance. Heal up and take care while you are getting straightened out.

Our daughter called us last Sunday afternoon (1 June) and told us she had just face planted while riding up in Atlanta, no parent likes those calls. She was not a bad off as you are, mainly a lot of missing dermal layers on her face and some wicked bruises. Mostly healed up now, thankfully. I'll send her a link to your thread here and she can send you a not comparing boo-boos
Lets just got for a ride, the heck with all this stuff...
