I'm sure this has been mentioned on here before but want to download my Garmin rides onto Strava which is the easiest option?.

I saw it mentioned the other day and thought I would give it a go.
Seems to work ok and syncs from Strava to Garmin Connect, haven't tried it the other way round.

Plug your Garmin in and log into strava, then click the orange upload button in the top right corner easy.0

If your already uploading to Garmin Connect you can have it automatically upload to Strava using http://www.garminsync.com / http://www.copymysports.com (same site) by setting it up to upload to your strava account from garmin connect. It can also upload all your previous garmin activities to strava if you want.0

You can do something to add copymysports as your friend and then you don't need to set all rides to public.0
