Been riding on Prorace 3 for some while after buying a stock of them, has anyone tried Prorace 4, how do they compare against the Prorace 3, are they worth the extra ?

Just seen Merlin Cycles are selling pairs of Prorace 4 for £39.95.

..been using the pro4 Service Course as my summer tyre last year and this....very pleased with them, good all-rounder as regards grip, puncture resistance, feel, wear life....

..should be able to pick them up for £25 or so, though...check out Probike kit....

...woops, edit...just seen that price is for a pair, so very good indeed!!!

Both good but 4s gripper so far, I've had 2s, 3s and 4s, nice tyres. You will soon hear from people on here rubbishing them with tales of flint damage etc, but don't listen to it, they're good tyres, i know of riders who use them all year round.

The Pro race 4's are great tyres, if you don't mind pink then £15.99 each

I found the 2s and 3s poor but I've being using Pro4 instead of Vittoria corsa evo cx and they match up, plus they instil more confidence in the wet which I needed after a couple of offs on the corsas.

The Pro4 is grippier and doesn't cut as easily as the Pro3.

I had 3's a few years back - lovely to ride on but cut up in next to no time and I wouldn't have them near me because of that.

I tried a set of Pro 4 Service Course and have been extremely impressed by them. I'm just surprised why Michelin/ retailers feel compelled to undercut the competition eg GP4000s.

I'd certainly recommend them - complete game changer compared with the 3's in my opinion.
